Conducting Effective Interviews of Clients and Non-client Witnesses
This presentation will provide strategies for maximizing the relevant information obtained during interviews of clients and non-client witnesses.
Gage Waggoner is a Professor of Paralegal/Legal Studies in the ABA-approved paralegal program at Collin College in Collin County, Texas. Among the courses he regularly teaches are Legal Writing and a special course he developed, Introduction to Legal Conventions, which covers the rules and customs of English grammar, punctuation, diction, and writing style from the perspective of the legal profession. Before joining the faculty at Collin County College, Gage practiced law in Dallas for 19 years in the fields of insurance law and civil litigation in state and federal courts. He earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 1995 and his B.A. in English from Tulane University in 1991. He is a licensed member of the State Bar of Texas and a member of the American Association for Paralegal Education.
